ABOUT JOSH KENNEDY

Hi, I’m Josh — a Strength & Conditioning coach and Personal Trainer with 16+ years of 1:1 coaching experience, helping athletes perform at a higher level and busy professionals rebuild a strong, capable body.

My coaching is built on two things that most people never combine properly:

Don't skip the basics.

- smart training structure

- sustainable nutrition

- recovery and lifestyle management

The highly specific, dynamic movements you see your favourite athletes (or toughest competitors) doing are great, but don't skip the basics.

Your Training is built for YOU.

A key principle in fitness development is that of Specificity. Your training should be specific to you AND your goals. Too often, one or both of these aspects are missed, and you find yourself using generic training with no clear direction, and very little results.

But we can fix that.

Strength & Conditioning (Athletes)

I work with professional, semi-professional and developing athletes, and I’ve supported youth athletes reaching national representation (including England boxing, England golf, and England football). My current S&C focus includes endurance running, combat sports, football, Hyrox and golf.

This is performance coaching—built around:

- what your sport demands

- where you’re currently limited (speed, strength, conditioning, tissue capacity, movement)

- what will move the needle fastest with the time you actually have

Personal Training (Busy Professionals)

For busy, high-performing professionals, the goal is usually simpler: feel better, look better, perform better — without pain, or needing endless hours in the gym!

You'll get a plan that respects your schedule, stress and energy, while still driving real, visible progress through the fundamentals.

Credentials (high-level)

- BSc Sport & Exercise Science (2014)

- MSc Strength & Conditioning (2017)

- UKSCA accredited S&C coach (ASCC)

- Precision Nutrition L1 coach

- IOPN Level 7 diploma in Performance Nutrition

- Plus extensive CPD across speed, sprinting, strength, movement and conditioning

A bit more personal

I live in Burnley with my fiancée, Kayla, and our two kids, Isobel (3) and Oliver (1), so I understand how it can feel to be burning at both ends!

Outside of coaching, I train regularly and in regular gym and fitness work, plus a bit of brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I'm constantly learning, and generally focused on taking the time to understand whatever will help my clients to get the best results- whether that's fitness, lifestyle management, nutrition, and personal development.

Ultimately, I've been the busy business owner. I've been the struggling athlete. So I understand your challenges, but there is a solution. If you're ready to find out how I can help, apply below.
